Soccer Game Preview: Urbana vs. Graham Local

The Urbana Hillclimbers will venture away from home to take on the Graham Local Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Urbana has four straight wins, Graham Local has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Saturday, Urbana got the win against West Liberty-Salem by a conclusive 5-1. Considering Urbana have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit West Liberty-Salem with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lola Rice (2), Noraa Smith, Elaei Brown, and Avari Jenkins.

Meanwhile, Graham Local fell victim to Bellefontaine and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 1-0.

Urbana's victory bumped their record up to 11-1-2. As for Graham Local, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

Urbana took their win against Graham Local when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1 score. In that match, the Hillclimbers amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
