Softball Recap: Stanhope Elmore Takes a Loss

Stanhope Elmore suffered their biggest loss since February 28th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wetumpka Indians, falling 111-1. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Stanhope Elmore's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-13. As for Wetumpka, they pushed their record up to 40-4 with the victory, which was their 37th straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Stanhope Elmore by a score of 12-1 later that day.
