Mountain View posted their closest victory since December 28, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Bend Lava Bears out 63-60. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Lava Bears: they've now won seven in a row.

Bend's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Spencer Dildine, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dildine a new career-high in boards. Caleb Unruh was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Bend, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
