Benicia won the last time they faced Alhambra and things went their way on Friday too. The Benicia Panthers came out on top against the Alhambra Bulldogs by a score of 67-55. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Alhambra's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Largent, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points. That's the most points Largent has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Torrance Avery, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and four steals.

The win got Benicia back to even at 8-8. As for Alhambra, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Benicia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-40 victory against American Canyon on the 18th. As for Alhambra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-50 defeat against Washington on the 18th.
