Preview: Antelope Rams vs. Trivium Prep Crimson Knights
Antelope has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Trivium Prep Crimson Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Antelope is ranked 173rd, while Trivium Prep is ranked 174th).
Last Friday, Antelope was beaten by Tonopah Valley 52-15. Antelope was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Although Antelope took the loss, they still got scores from Kenan Ragels and Steven Castro.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Trivium Prep on the road against San Pasqual Valley on Friday as the squad secured a 76-12 win.
Trivium Prep can attribute much of their success to Cruz Ramirez, who rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and Vern Wolfley, who rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns.
Tonopah Valley's victory bumped their season record to 7-2 while Antelope's defeat dropped theirs to 5-4.
Antelope took a serious blow against Trivium Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2021, falling 45-6. Can Antelope avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
