Baseball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the McKinleyville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Saturday.

Eureka saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Bermers, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for McKinleyville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Coincidentally, Eureka and McKinleyville will both be playing Del Norte the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Loggers will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
