Softball Recap: Shelby Valley Takes a Loss

Shelby Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Tug Valley on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row dating back to last season.

Shelby Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tug Valley, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelby Valley will take on Letcher County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tug Valley, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge St. Marys at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
