Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland lost against Nezperce back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Highland Huskies were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 28-27 to the Nezperce Nighthawks.

When it comes to explaining why Highland lost, don't look at Kylee Beck. Despite the final result, she dropped a triple-double with ten points, 17 boards, and ten blocks. That's the most blocks Beck has posted since back in December of 2023. Hailey Click was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Highland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Highland's record now sits at 12-12. As for Nezperce, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nezperce, they have already played their next contest, a 55-17 win against Kootenai on the 15th.
