Basketball Recap: Kaden Madrid's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Monte Vista over Ignacio

Monte Vista lost against Ignacio on February 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Monte Vista Pirates took a 67-49 bruising from the Ignacio Bobcats. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Madrid, who posted 16 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Azariah Hurtado, who earned six points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Ignacio, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11.

Monte Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ignacio, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centauri at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centauri will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Ignacio surely won't give up without a fight.
