Basketball Game Preview: Bellarmine Prep Lions vs. Lincoln Abes

Bellarmine Prep can't be too worried about heading out to take on Lincoln: they just beat Lakes at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Bellarmine Prep blew past Lakes 82-53 on Thursday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln entered their tilt with Timberline on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-62 W against the Blazers. Given the Abes' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Blazers are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bellarmine Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points over those games. As for Lincoln, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.
