Football Game Preview: Roy Royals vs. Alta Hawks + Official Tickets

The Roy Royals will head out on the road to square off against the Alta Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Roy has given up an average of 32.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Roy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Fremont, falling 41-21. The Royals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Meanwhile, Alta didn't have quite enough to beat Brighton on Friday and fell 28-25. The Hawks were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Bengals in the fourth quarter 15-7.

Roy will have to keep a close watch on Tucker Brown and Evan Morton, a pair of players who had a big impact on Alta's prior game. Brown threw for 247 yards and two TDs, while Morton picked up 136 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Alta has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Roy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Roy came up short against Alta when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 13-9. Thankfully for the Royals, Anthony Cottis (who rushed for 200 yards while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
