East Lake has won three straight games at home, while Calvary Christian has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Lake 3.4, Calvary Christian 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
East Lake's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Clearwater with a sharp 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Camden Boehm's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Andrew Sheffield was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Millian, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Bishop McLaughlin Catholic on Tuesday, taking the game 4-1.
Calvary Christian also got a great performance from Grayson Gibson as he struck out 13 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Gibson has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Calvary Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Traina, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Maddox Bozeman was another, getting no hits from his two at bats.
East Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Calvary Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. East Lake has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Calvary Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
East Lake couldn't quite get it done against Calvary Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
