Baseball Recap: McNary Comes Up Short

McNary had lost ten straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-23 to make it 11. They lost 15-0 to the Bend Lava Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Celtics of the 7-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Bend, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Bend's part, Will Goodman was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Goodman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Fischer Barber, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

As of now, neither McNary nor Bend have any future games scheduled.
