Baseball Recap: Parrish Community Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Parrish Community can now relate to. They fell just short of the Palmetto Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Bulls were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Parrish Community got a good showing from Francesco Giustino, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Giustino has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Parrish Community saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Thompsen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Parrish Community's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Palmetto, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Parrish Community nor Palmetto have any future games scheduled.
