Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy entered their tilt with Bowie on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Maritza Johnson paced Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson got some help from Andrea Trujillo and her 16 assists. Trujillo also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nidia Fierro, each putting up six.

Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy's record is now 12-10. As for Bowie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
