Baseball Recap: B O L D Takes a Loss

B O L D had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 5-11 to make it four. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

As for Sauk Centre, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Sauk Centre's part, the team relied heavily on Evan Zales, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Zales a new career-high. Eli Warring was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

When B O L D and Sauk Centre next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Warriors will try to stop New Ulm Cathedral's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sauk Centre will challenge Montevideo and their seven-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
