Volleyball Game Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Valle Catholic Warriors

Valley hasn't had much luck against Valle Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Warriors at 5:30 p.m.

Valley lost 3-0 to Bismarck on Thursday.

Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-13, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Valle Catholic entered their tilt with Perryville on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Perryville scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 19-25, 25-20, 27-25.

Valley's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-5-1. As for Valle Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 17-3-1.

Valley might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Valle Catholic in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
