There's no place like home for Valley Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over the Fallbrook Warriors on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Valley Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braylon Mitchell, who threw for 281 yards and four TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Mitchell has posted since back in September of 2024. Joeisha Ryan Tirado helped Mitchell out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards and three touchdowns.

Valley Center's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Fallbrook, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Valley Center will host Westview at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Jaguars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Fallbrook, they will head out to square off against Imperial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 871 yards in their previous games.
