Basketball Recap: Cleburne County Triumphs

Cleburne County lost to Munford back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Cleburne County Tigers skirted past the Munford Lions 31-29. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cleburne County's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Munford, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Cleburne County will venture away from home to take on Cherokee County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cherokee County's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Cleburne County's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Munford, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Munford Lions take on the Talladega Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
