Basketball Recap: Stockton Christian Takes a Loss

Stockton Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 70-46 to the Mt. Shasta Bears.

Despite the loss, Stockton Christian still got an impressive performance from Jayden Chamblee, who posted 23 points. That was a full 50% of Stockton Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Moore, who had eight points.

Stockton Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Mt. Shasta, the win also got them back to even at 6-6.

Stockton Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Mt. Shasta also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Eureka at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
