Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Prep's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lincoln Prep's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Pima Roughriders. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lightning as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Genevieve Shumosic had a dynamite game, getting 20 digs and two aces.

Lincoln Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Pima, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Lincoln Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Arete Prep on the 24th. As for Pima, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against San Carlos on the 23rd.
