Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Comes Up Short

West Muskingum hit Tri-Valley with a six-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Scotties lost 13-6 to the Tornadoes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scotties of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Ava Neal was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alivia Reffitt, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Tri-Valley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for West Muskingum, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Tri-Valley has already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Meadowbrook on the 9th. As for West Muskingum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-9 loss against River View on the 9th.
