Softball Recap: Mercedes Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Mercedes took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Harlingen South, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Hawks 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Mercedes pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Harlingen South, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Mercedes has already played their next match, a 16-0 victory against Donna North on the 4th. As for Harlingen South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Edcouch-Elsa on the 4th.
