Volleyball Recap: Mclaurin Extends Winning Streak to Eight

McLaurin waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

McLaurin walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-17, 25-18.

McLaurin found their leader in sophomore Kaylee Holeman, who had nine digs and four aces.

McLaurin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.

McLaurin's record now sits at 19-3. As for Jefferson Davis County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

McLaurin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Crystal Springs on the 30th. As for Jefferson Davis County, they will host North Forrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
