Softball Preview: Concord Bears vs. Miramonte Matadors

The Concord Bears will head out to challenge the Miramonte Matadors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Concord will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Campolindo on Thursday. In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shay Caban, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, five runs, and four RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Anna Marie Del Rosario was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

However, it's not like Miramonte struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
