Softball Recap: Valley View Gets the Win

The Valley View Spartans were able to grind out a solid win over the Carroll Patriots on Thursday, taking the game 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Valley View let Lily Bell and Reese Riley run wild. Bell went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Riley scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Riley has posted since back in March of 2024. Jillian Shell was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Valley View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will welcome National Trail at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carroll, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
