Baseball Recap: Carthage Takes a Loss

Carthage managed to slip by Joplin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since May 10, 2024.

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Joplin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Carthage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Aurora on the 3rd. As for Joplin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-6 defeat against Smithville on the 3rd.
