Softball Recap: Mechanicsburg Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mechanicsburg entered their tilt with Cedar Cliff on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Colts. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-1 back in March.

Mechanicsburg's record now sits at 8-4. As for Cedar Cliff, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will square off against Altoona at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Mountain Lions at the right time seeing as the Mountain Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cedar Cliff, they will head out on the road to challenge Red Land at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight.
