Lane Tech is 9-1 against Lincoln Park since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Lane Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. Lane Tech is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Lane Tech came up short against Fairmont and fell 5-1. The game marked the Champions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lane Tech got a good showing from Sofia Stronsky, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, Stronsky didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Park gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener two weeks ago. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hancock a 10-0 shutout.

Susanna Morris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Morris was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eleanor Funke, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Violet Stankiewicz was another key player, scoring a run.

Lane Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lincoln Park, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Lane Tech took their victory against Lincoln Park in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0. Does Lane Tech have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
