Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hope Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tabernacle Torches. Hope Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tabernacle apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Tabernacle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tucker Andrews led the charge by putting up 13 points. Daniel Bensko was another key player, scoring ten points.

The win (which was Tabernacle's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Hope Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Mt. Pleasant Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Tabernacle, they will host Brooklane Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
