Basketball Game Preview: Carlisle Chiefs vs. The Covenant Eagles

The Carlisle Chiefs will square off against The Covenant Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Carlisle turned things around against C.H. Friend on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-13 win over the Red Jackets. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chiefs considering their 18-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, The Covenant hadn't done well against Tandem Friends recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Covenant walked away with a 54-46 victory over Tandem Friends. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carlisle's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for The Covenant, their record now sits at 4-9.

Everything came up roses for Carlisle against The Covenant in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
