Softball Recap: Big Spring Takes a Loss

Big Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Monahans Loboes, falling 14-4. The Steers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Loboes from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Abigail Diaz was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she's hit this season.

Big Spring's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Monahans, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Big Spring will take on Stanton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Stanton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season. As for Monahans, they will face off against Forsan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
