Recap: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Aynor Blue Jackets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Loris, the Georgetown Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 68-39 victory over Aynor. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Georgetown has posted since November 20, 2023.
Georgetown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jari Ford, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Ean Mitchell, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Several Blue Jackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamarion Mitchel, who scored nine points along with three steals. Robinson Mendez was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Aynor, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Manning at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Aynor, they will head out on the road to square off against Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
