Basketball Recap: Beckman Finds Home Court Redemption Against Mission Viejo

There's no place like home for Beckman, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They took down the Mission Viejo Diablos 56-40 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mission Viejo's loss came despite strong showings from Xander Willard and Damian Navarro. Willard posted 15 points, while Navarro had 15 points. The contest was Navarro's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Madoc Pugh was another key player, putting up four points.

The win got Beckman back to even at 12-12. As for Mission Viejo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Capistrano Valley the next time they take the court. Mission Viejo will host Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Beckman will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
