Recap: Fayetteville Christian Warriors vs. Freedom Christian Academy Patriots
The Fayetteville Christian Warriors suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Freedom Christian Academy by a score of 45-43. Fayetteville Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fayetteville Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isabella Bailey, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Star Coleman, who scored 11 points.
Freedom Christian Academy was led to victory by Neveah Sanford and Allison Lett. Sanford scored 14 points, while Lett scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lett has scored at least a third of Freedom Christian Academy's points.
Fayetteville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Freedom Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayetteville Christian will take on O'Neal at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Neal has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Berean Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. Berean Baptist Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
