Volleyball Game Preview: Ketcham Storm vs. Suffern Mounties

The Ketcham Storm will challenge the Suffern Mounties at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ketcham will be strutting in after a victory while Suffern will be coming in after a defeat.

Ketcham had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Fox Lane on Tuesday. The Storm were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Foxes. The Storm not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).

Ketcham didn't let Fox Lane take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Suffern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of John Jay.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 18-25, 25-11.

Ketcham's win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Suffern, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Ketcham skirted past Suffern 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the Mounties have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
