Recap: Conard Red Wolves vs. Weaver Beavers

The Conard Red Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 82-67 victory over Weaver. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Weaver had strong showings from Shaheim Wilson, who scored 16 points, and Madden Cupe, who scored 20 points. Cupe is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'kai Perry, who scored 12 points.

Conard is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Weaver, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1.

Conard will head out on the road to square off against Manchester at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manchester will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Weaver, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Academy of Science and Innovation at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Academy of Science and Innovation is ranked 36th, while Weaver is ranked 23rd).
