Baseball Recap: Roxbury Latin Takes Down Ranked Tabor Academy

Roxbury Latin faced Tabor Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Foxes came out on top against the Seawolves by a score of 9-4. This was a revenge game for the Foxes: when they faced off against the Seawolves back in April, they had to take a 7-5 defeat.

Ben McVane looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Roxbury Latin let Matt Taglieri and Colin Roache run wild. Taglieri went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Roache went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two hits gave Taglieri a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Pender, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Roxbury Latin's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Tabor Academy, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Roxbury Latin nor the Seawolves have any future games scheduled.
