Basketball Game Preview: Wetumpka Indians vs. Brewbaker Tech Rams + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Wetumpka Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Brewbaker Tech Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Wetumpka put up the most points they have all season on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 73-50 margin over Elmore County. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Kaleb Ballard, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 61.1% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Chris Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists.

Wetumpka was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

While Brewbaker Tech didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Stanhope Elmore by a score of 67-57 on Tuesday. The Rams pushed the score to 52-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

The win got Wetumpka back to even at 2-2. As for Brewbaker Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Wetumpka was dealt a bruising 69-34 defeat at the hands of Brewbaker Tech in their previous meeting back in November of 2017. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
