Basketball Recap: Grace Academy vs. Providence Prep Rams
In what's become a running theme this season, Grace Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 52-15 victory over Providence Prep. While fans of Grace Academy might be used to big wins, the 37-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Grace Academy was led to victory by Reagan Johnson and Allison Shell. Johnson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Shell scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Leeman, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Grace Academy's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.3 points. As for Providence Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tribe W comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Providence Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the at 5:30 p.m. Texas Wind will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
