Tiverton had to settle for second on Thursday, but Lia Doster sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, Doster was still locked in as she pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Doster and Tiverton will challenge Cranston East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Doster's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Tigers' nine-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Doster and the Tigers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Monday's match.
