Volleyball Recap: Shiner Takes a Loss

Shiner lost against St. Joseph back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Comanches fell 2-0 to the Flyers.

St. Joseph was led to victory by Syler Sullivan and Abigail Brister. Sullivan had 11 digs and three aces, while Brister had seven digs and one assist. That's the most aces Sullivan has posted over her last seven contests. Claire Connally also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Shiner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Joseph, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Coming up, Shiner will take on Schulenburg in a tournament on Friday. As for St. Joseph, they will face off against Yoakum at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
