Basketball Recap: Freer Beats Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest for Their Third Straight Victory

Freer extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Dehondre Hayes. The Freer Buckaroos managed a 50-46 win over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas on Friday thanks in part to Hayes, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Hayes is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Erik Leal, who posted two points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January.

Freer's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Freer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-16 win against IDEA Weslaco Pike on the 7th. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest has also already played their next game, a 67-43 defeat against Raymondville on the 7th.
