Basketball Recap: Miami Beach Piles Up the Points Against Carol City

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mater Academy Charter, Miami Beach was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Carol City Chiefs, posting a 40-10 win. For the Hi-Tides, this counts as revenge for the 50-49 victory the Chiefs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.

Carol City's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Trenia Baker, who posted five points, and Tatiana Newsome, who scored four points.

Miami Beach is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.6 points per game. As for Carol City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Miami Beach will take on iMater Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carol City has already played their next game, a 57-15 defeat against Goleman on the 24th.
