Basketball Recap: Holmes Huskies vs. Brennan Bears
Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 98-40 loss at the hands of the Brennan Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 111-57 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Holmes' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Conrad, who posted 15 points. The dominant performance gave Conrad a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Corona, who earned nine points.
Kingston Flemings was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 14 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds for Brennan. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Cowgill, who put up 14 points.
Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Brennan, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.
Holmes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-64 defeat against O'Connor on the 3rd. As for Brennan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 99-45 win against Stevens on the 3rd.
