Baseball Recap: Winslow Bulldogs vs. Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles
Winslow took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Bourgade Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Golden Eagles 12-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Aiden Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Winslow is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-15 otherwise. Martinez was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
