Prairie View Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 30-6 margin over Christ Covenant. With the Spartans ahead 23-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

It was another big night for Nathan Stokes, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).

Prairie View Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Christ Covenant, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Prairie View Academy will venture away from home to challenge Briarfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Christ Covenant, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delta Streets Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
