Volleyball Recap: West Genesee Wildcats vs. Fairport Red Raiders
West Genesee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Fairport Red Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.
Fairport can attribute much of their success to Mimi Bones, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces Bones has posted in her last nine matches.
West Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Fairport, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
West Genesee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Marcellus on the 28th. Fairport has also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Pittsford on the 28th.
