 The Alamosa Mean Moose have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Florence Huskies at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
 If Alamosa beats Florence with one  goal on Saturday, it's going to be the  team's new lucky number: they've won their past two  games with that exact score. Alamosa never let Lake County onto the board and left with  a   1-0  victory  on Thursday. Alamosa's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a  goal in their last three  contests.
 Meanwhile, Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They lost  9-0 to Fountain Valley. While losing is never fun, Florence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings  (they are ranked 209th, while Fountain Valley is ranked 95th).
 Alamosa pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
 Everything went Alamosa's way against Florence in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 as Alamosa made off with  a  10-0 victory. Will Alamosa repeat their success,  or does  Florence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
