Wildorado is 8-2 against Texline since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wildorado Mustangs will square off against the Texline Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Wildorado was able to grind out a solid win over Pringle-Morse, taking the game 49-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Texline had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Matadors 55-23. Given the Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Matadors are ranked 1449th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Texline is also on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.1 points per game. As for Wildorado, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Wildorado was taken down by Texline 52-12 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Wildorado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
